Jivana Jyoti:

  • The Jivana Jyoti Institutes were started by ICSA to equip the physically-challenged persons with government approved training in computer and electronics. Currently, we have three branches. We are the recipients of the ‘Best Institution Award’ from the Government of Tamilnadu in 2001.

Comprehensive Medical Services, India CMSI:

  • In 1989, ICSA responded to the challenge of making available high quality drugs at cost price to poor patients.  ICSA promoted the CMSI to carry on this work on a ‘not for profit’ basis.  CMSI actively campaigns for rational drug use, essential and generic drug prescription, drug quality and cost-effective healthcare, through seminars, consultations and publications   CMSI manufactures and supplies over 65 drugs in strips, blister and bulk packing.
  • CMSI manufactures only essential drugs, as classified by WHO. We maintain aseptic quality standards and possess the Good Manufacturing Practice [GMP] certification, as per WHO norms. The drugs are supplied only in their generic names and the sale is restricted to charitable work only. ICSA Books:

  • This is a book-selling and publication unit of ICSA started in 2004. We have a large book house at the ICSA Center, Egmore. Christian literature, including the Bible in many languages, biblical resource material, theological books and general books falling in the categories of philosophy, religions, politics, history, management, self-development and language and literature are displayed and promoted. Special counters for children’s books and cooking are available. Books of leading publishers like Oxford, Serial, Orient-Longman and ISPCK are available.
  • ICSA Publication Unit: Under the aegis of “ICSA Books”,  books on inter-faith, human rights and political governance, biographies are published … (full text).

CEL:

  • CEL was started by ICSA in 1999 for creating public awareness on issues that affect the people in general and those of the vulnerable sections like the Dalits, tribals, religious minorities, etc.,  in particular. We conduct study courses, seminars, conferences for pastors, lay leaders, youth and social activists. We also undertake evaluation of social development projects.
  • We have a dialogical center which is available for civil society organizations and people’s movements for conducting educational programs for members of general public.
